To ensure the Programme is commissioner led and that recommendations are in line with commissioners vision and principles.
To develop a commissioning vision and set of underpinning principles for the whole of South East Midlands, which will be used to support the Programme.
To act as the key commissioning forum for the Programme as a whole and provide commissioning advice to other groups, including the CWGs and Clinical Senate as necessary.
The key tasks are to:
Agree a concordat between the 5 CCGs and the 2 Clusters that outlines how the commissioners will all work together, represent each other and provide the commissioner leadership to ensure the Programme is commissioner led
Agree a mandate on commissioner expectations from the Programme and share that widely
Develop a shared commissioner vision for south east midlands that will influence all outputs of the programme
Develop and maintain a shared commissioner script across South East Midlands
Develop a set of principles with the Patient and Public Advisory Group against which all outputs will be tested
Receive regular updates and reports from the Chair of the Clinical Senate.

No hospitals will close. Northampton, Kettering, Milton Keynes, Luton & Dunstable and Bedford will all continue to provide most local services
All five hospitals will have an A&E and maternity service
